Introducing the Arterect AI Security Team (AAST): Advancing Secure Technology

Arterect Inc. (Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hayate Esaki) has launched the Arterect AI Security Team (AAST), its dedicated team for AI security and cyber defence.

Making security in the age of AI more accessible

As the use of AI spreads rapidly, keeping systems and data safe matters more than ever.

Through research and development in AI, security and advanced technology, Arterect aims to advance technology and safety together. With the new team, we will strengthen the defences of our own products and services and advance practical security research.

The four functions of AAST

  • Security Governance: controls, access management and audit; security oversight at management level
  • AI Security Research: research into the safety of AI systems and AI agents, and into defensive techniques
  • Security Engineering: vulnerability analysis, secure development and testing; protecting software and cloud
  • Security Operations: threat analysis, monitoring and incident response

The four functions are shared by the members of AAST, including the accountable officer. Drawing on AI-assisted security analysis and testing methods, the team promotes secure software development and continuous security improvement.

Security governance

Hayate Esaki, Representative Director, is the accountable officer for information security management, and the Arterect AI Security Team (AAST) carries out technical and organisational security measures.
